Mae and the Horizon She Builds
The season of leaving has come. Everyone has an idea of where Mae should go. Grandma Jackie asks the one question nobody else has: what do you want? Mae spends a year finding out, and builds a home of her own one small day at a time.
“I know what matters. I build toward it, one small day at a time.”

Inside the story
What readers practise with Mae.
Each book carries a quiet Montessori lesson. Readers meet it in the story first, then practise it in their own work.
I can analyse the competing expectations in Mae's life and whose interests each one serves.
I can support a claim about what I value with specific, dated evidence rather than general preference.
I can propose a next step that accounts for a real constraint and names its opportunity cost.
