What you’ll do
- Assist the Lead Learning Guide during live online classes
- Monitor attendance, participation, engagement and progress
- Support virtual classroom management
- Lead small-group and breakout-room activities
- Provide one-on-one academic support and tutoring
- Grade assignments and assessments using established rubrics
- Monitor missing and incomplete work
- Maintain assigned Canvas courses, modules and resources
- Help with routine parent communication and keep records
- Support students with organization, independent work and Canvas
- Share academic, behavioral or participation concerns with the Lead Guide
- Provide classroom coverage when the Lead Guide is unavailable
- Follow Quantum Montessori curriculum, policies and procedures
- Protect student and family confidentiality
Qualifications
Applicants must be a trained Montessori Guide or a licensed or certified K–12 educator. Experience with the assigned age or grade level is strongly preferred; Canvas and Zoom experience is preferred but not required.

Schedule & compensation
A part-time, remote contract position paying a flat $3,500 per month for up to 30 hours per week, including scheduled availability during assigned live classes and flexible time for grading, Canvas maintenance, student support, parent communication and planning. Class schedules and grade-level assignments are discussed with selected candidates.
Education benefit
Eligible team members receive 100% tuition-free enrollment for one child in an eligible Online Homeschool or Montessori Homeschool program while actively working with Quantum Montessori and meeting performance expectations. The benefit does not apply to School-from-Home programs. Full eligibility terms are in the agreement.
Student safety
Because this role involves direct interaction with minor students, selected candidates must complete Quantum Montessori’s screening and background-check process and follow all student-safety, confidentiality, technology and professional-conduct requirements.
Growth
As enrollment grows, Assistant Learning Guides may take on additional instructional responsibilities or advance into Lead Learning Guide roles.
Eligibility
Applicants must currently live in the United States, be legally authorized to work in the United States, and perform the role while located in the United States. Quantum Montessori does not provide employment-based immigration sponsorship for this position.
