Gamer club · Grades K–12
Roblox Builders Club
A gaming club where students build, not just play. Learners design worlds, script them with Luau and playtest each other’s games in Roblox Studio. Every group is small and private, and a Guide keeps it kind, safe and welcoming.
- Ongoing club
- 1 live class a week
- 1 hour
- Grouped by age
- $130 / month
What students learn
Real game design, one block at a time
Students learn the tools game studios use and the habits real teams rely on, with plenty of time to play.
Build worlds
Parts, terrain, lighting and models. Students plan a level, then build it.
Script with Luau
Events, variables and if statements that make doors open, points count and obstacles move.
Playtest
Students play each other’s games and give kind, specific feedback.
Fix and improve
Reading errors, finding bugs and trying again, calmly.
Stay safe online
Private servers, studio names, parental controls and what to do when something feels wrong.
A month in the club
Build, script, test, share
Younger crews build with simple parts and ready-made scripts. Older crews write their own code.

Sketch a level and build its first area in Studio.
- Week 2
Make it move
Add a first script: a moving platform, a door or a checkpoint.
- Week 3
Keep score
Add points, a timer or a goal, and test it with a partner.
- Week 4
Playtest party
Everyone plays each other’s games, shares feedback and plans the next build.

Who it is for
A good fit if…
- Students who already love Roblox and want to make their own games
- New builders curious about coding
- Learners who enjoy designing and testing
- Students ready to practice good sportsmanship online
Before class
What you need
- A Windows or Mac computer (Roblox Studio does not run on tablets or phones)
- A Roblox account set up and managed by a parent, with parental controls on
- Roblox Studio installed before the first class
- A mouse, plus a headset if possible
- A device with a camera and microphone for our video call
The Montessori way
Students choose what to build and work at their own pace, while the Guide gives short, focused lessons when a new skill is needed. Playtesting turns feedback into grace and courtesy: students learn to say what works, suggest one idea and thank the builder.
Questions families ask
Good to know
Does my child need coding experience?
No. Younger crews build with parts and ready-made scripts. Older students learn Luau step by step.
Is Roblox safe for my child?
We play only on private servers with our group. Parents set up the account and parental controls, and we never use public chat.
Can we use a tablet?
Students can play on a tablet, but building requires Roblox Studio on a Windows or Mac computer.
