QUANTUM MONTESSORI / CAREERS & TEAM
Microschool Founding Head of School
For experienced education leaders ready to build and lead a full Quantum Montessori microschool in an approved community.
Build a school, not just a classroom
This pathway is intended for educators and school leaders with at least 10 years of relevant professional experience who want to move into a founding Head of School role. The objective is to establish and lead a fully functioning Quantum Montessori microschool with local responsibility and support from the central organization.
School scale and program scope
The planning concept is a preschool-through-grade-12 microschool with an eventual enrollment capacity of approximately 150 to 200 learners. Capacity and the grade levels actually opened depend on facilities, staffing, financial viability, state and local requirements, and phased approval. Enrollment and financial results are not guaranteed.
Founder responsibilities
The founding leader helps select the community, proposes suitable facilities, builds local relationships, supports family recruitment, leads school launch and daily operations, hires and supervises approved personnel, oversees learner experience, and maintains academic, financial, safeguarding, operational, and personnel standards.
Building a complete team
Depending on enrollment and approved budgets, a school may employ Quantum Montessori Guides & Success Coaches (QMGSCs), assistant educators, communications and family support specialists, administrators, security personnel, and other required specialists. Staffing is designed around learner needs and applicable requirements, not a universal fixed ratio.
Central support from Quantum Montessori
Quantum Montessori coordinates the educational model and curriculum, training through the Quantum Montessori Academy for Lifelong Learning, shared technology, enrollment administration, brand and marketing support, HR frameworks, administrative systems, and state-specific legal and compliance planning with qualified advisers. The local leader remains accountable for approved on-site operations.
Leadership autonomy and approval
Prospective founders identify a preferred state and location, and participate in local feasibility, facilities, community, and recruitment work. Quantum Montessori must approve the jurisdiction, property, opening timeline, operating plan, staffing plan, and school identity before launch.
Proposed financial and employment model
The intended concept combines a paid Head of School role, potential employment benefits, a negotiated founding investment, and possible quarterly performance-based distributions. These are concepts under development, not an offer, financial projection, guaranteed profit share, or commitment to employment. The final entity structure, compensation, ownership rights, obligations, risk allocation, and distribution formula require legal and financial review and signed documents.
Training, evaluation and preparation
Candidates should be able to demonstrate senior educational leadership, staff management, enrollment and family engagement, budgeting, child safety and compliance, facilities coordination, and school improvement. All selected leaders complete the full QMGSC training, intensive Head of School preparation through the Quantum Montessori Academy for Lifelong Learning, structured shadowing with QM leadership, supervised operating rotations, scenario-based assessments, and state-specific safety and compliance preparation. Experience, financial participation, or prior executive titles never waive training. Written operational certification and QM approval are required before independent campus leadership.
Rigorous founder selection
A Microschool Founding Head of School is selected through a multi-stage process involving a documented leadership record, structured interviews, references, background and eligibility checks, practical work samples, site and community feasibility review, and a formal leadership panel. Meeting the 10-year experience minimum is only a threshold, not automatic acceptance.
Mandatory training, shadowing and operating residency
Every selected founder completes core QMGSC training followed by intensive Academy Head of School modules, in-person or appropriately supervised shadowing at approved QM operations, rotations across admissions, family communication, student records, staffing, budgets, safeguarding, learning quality, facilities, and crisis response. The founder must demonstrate operational readiness through simulations and supervised leadership before launch. QM determines the duration and required assessments; no shortcut is offered for previous experience or a proposed investment.
Formal approval before opening
Launching a microschool requires a reviewed business and enrollment plan, approved location and state requirements, documented staffing and safety plans, verified operational controls, demonstrated leader competencies, and written Quantum Montessori authorization. Opening is phased where appropriate. After opening, founders receive ongoing coaching, performance reviews, quality audits, and continuing Academy development.
