Asian American Histories & Heritage

There is no single Asian American story.

In development · K–12 · Online in Canvas · Waitlist families hear first, with founding-family pricing and a sample lesson.

Why this course

So do the differences inside it.

Asian American history includes different migrations, nations of origin, languages, labor systems, exclusion laws, communities, businesses, wars, citizenship struggles, scientific contributions, political movements, and generations of American life.

Asian American Histories & Heritage will be designed around that complexity.

Students will examine immigration and exclusion, railroad labor, agriculture, business districts, citizenship, incarceration during World War II, military service, civil rights, science, medicine, technology, education, art, entrepreneurship, and contemporary Asian American communities.

The course will also distinguish among communities rather than treating "Asian American" as one culture.

The larger category matters.
